Will definitely be a good match and will be at both to watch but think it'll be a lot closer than most think, Chris is the same guy that beat Wee Steed twice and correct me if I'm wrong didn't Wee Steed beat Ross a few weeks back in the £500 a man thing?, not saying Ross wont win, definitely a great player but wouldn't write Chris off at all.
Really odd match-up if you ask me, both totally different players . .↲Depends how it goes frum the off, whether Chris can rattle off a few frames b4 the genius of McInnes and his tactics start to get a grip of the match . . Woulda taken Ross and his fudge game at bb but with it being wr on return, i put Chris slight favourite for that one . .↲I get on well with both and wish them all the best, good luck guys!!

Cant agree with you there Marc!
If ross is agreeing to play wr on the return, he obviously knows the rules well enough, and if you can sucesfully fudge at blackball, fudging at world rules should be right up your street!....especially with only needing 4 balls to hit a cushion off the break and not having to worry about 2 past the middle! ... so in my opinion if ross is on his game with the old fudging he's favourite at both Blackball and World rules. Not saying chris cant hold his own in the tactiacal frames, but theres just no competeing with ross in that department, thats where there really is no replacment for experience!
Chris's best chance of winning relies on his break, he really has to be breaking well, dishing the majority off them, holding the advantage by taking all his frames quickly without letting ross slow him down. And in the safety frames, he should be playing them lossley, opening things up, not getting in volved in really tight fudge frames.
Strange match to accept tho, if your looking for a match to make money off of, you think it would be one where your gonna be able to have a nice open match, and not hours on end of safety safety safety!
but who knows, maybe ross has something up his sleeve, might shock us all and turn up with a massive break and some crazy finishes! ..
Will maybe pop through to watch one of these, will obv have to be the one in rosyth tho! lol
Blackball V Worldrules, probably the first of many! all the best both of yous!

who is Corcoran??? If its the guy am thinkin of he played mark reid not to llong ago :/
Young guy from Kirkcaldy Jack, very good player at both rule sets and i agree with Silky this will be alot closer than people seem to think.I think it was Stuart Archibald who played Reido for £ few times m8.
very surprised by this match and cannot see what it does for either player. I fully agree with scott about it being closer than most think however there is no way ross will not practice hard for this and I only see him winning both.
I actually believe that ross is favourite for the wr game and chris for the bb game and it will be interesting if anything. If ross wins bb then i think he will win.
Anyway good luck to both players and I hope it is a close and good match.
Chris mate, dont worry ill bring you some sandwiches and a dvd to watch and maybe a pillow and quilt too. Also you may need a protractor and a good book. May i suggest war and peace

I am good mates with Wee Steed and I think even he would admit that playing him or playing McInness for cash, especially in longer races is in a different chapter of "How to Play and Win Money Matches"!
I fancy Ross to win both legs but again I have more expectation on him winning the WR match over the BB.
As far as I'm led to believe I think Ross phoned up Mike Keddie, not sure if just asked about potential money games or not so not sure how it came to Chris's name being mentioned.
Agree with the point in it being different playing for cash to normal, was just merely pointing out that Chris is capable to beating the likes of Ross, Wee Steed, etc. And Ross is more than capable obviously and has played WR's before, maybe not recently but would imagine he is out practising the now, he played Darren Appleton in the 90's at I think 3 sets of rules at the time and one of them was WR.
