few things, firstly when booking in, I have used the original name on my list as that was sent to PB when the draw was done, I have added where I can a lead name to match up against that team, that person pays the £50 refundable deposit.

The team names will be changed on the computer that Davy will be using for scoring , so don't worry about that.

A number have asked regarding staying tonight but at no point did I say anyone could stay on the Thursday night, so please do not travel through asking for your caravan as it will not be ready until Friday around lunchtime.

Any changes of names can be given to Davy, who will change or add to the system.

Lets make this a happy event, I have no need to do anything as my good lady is in charge this weekend, you lot deal with her, lol.

Well firstly sorry for not doing a report on the event before now but not been that well and decided to take a few days off before coming back into the pool world.

The event this year was full but again the format needs changed and next year we will be going back to groups of 6 with less frames, has to be as it was taking far to long .

Lots more teams now coming not just for a good laugh but to try and win the event, I was hoping that the Shire would get to the winning post first this year, just for Billy's sake but it was just to much for Mr Stirling this time around.

However the two teams that got to the final were great, Team Aldo, with the same boy's who come year after year were joined by a new team this time around and for me I thought they were the favs as they come from Dundee and as they are winning nearly every team event this year, I thought they would add this title to their collection.

However , experience does come into play now and again and this showed with a certain Mr Downie, now a lot of people may not know Colin but he has been one of the SPA best players for to many years that I can remember, he goes to the table and just plays his shots and its a pleasure to watch, as long as your not playing him, add that to the rest of his team with mad Anton, old Alex Mcpherson, Aldo himself and not forgetting Mr solid himself Andy Finningan, you have a team that has got to this final I believe 4 times now and won 3 times including this one.

Their opponents were great in defeat , lead by Marc Fleming, two young international stars in Bryan Cumming and Scott Coventry, they also had Dean McIntosh Andy Wares and Dylan Gray in what I would call a team that can only get better for years to come.

Aldo's team won 8/6 but it could have gone easily the other way.

Thanks for all the teams who came and enjoyed another fantastic weekend of pool and hope to see you back next year.
