Regarding the affiliations, we (The Exec) had raised this prior to the accounts being published and these have been updated to reflect the income related to affiliations.

I have updated the first link on my initial post to show the final balance sheet.

Instead of hiding behind a computer come to the next meeting and have all your questions ready.

Are you going to address the questions already listed on this thread or are you solely relying on the questions being reiterated again in person at the meeting?

Also, what a completely unprofessional response. Bash literally invited questions in this thread and when questions are being asked you're saying someone is "hiding behind a computer"

Which one is it? Do the SPA want questions on this thread or not?

Thanks, I have asked this on a number of occasion so nice to get a response. One question though, why is his name not actually on the accounts?

One note of caution, although Paul is more than qualified, with the new membership fee coming in he will no longer be independant.

There is no requirement for an independent accountant based on the constitution (which you can't consult).

8. Finance

8.1 The financial year runs from the 1st of Jan to the 31st of December each year, and all financial statements should be prepared on an accruals basis.

8.2 All funds belonging to the SPA should be deposited in accounts that carry the associationís title. All accounts must operate on two signatories, one of whom will be the treasurer and the other a member of the Executive Committee.

8.3 At each SPA meeting the treasurer will present a summary of the associationís ledger accounts showing all income and expenditure since the last meeting.

8.4 After each significant SPA event, the treasurer will produce and present to the next SPA meeting, a summary Income and Expenditure statement for each event.

8.5 Any sub-divisions of the SPA holding their own separate finances and bank accounts are responsible for these accounts. They are required to submit to the SPA treasurer a fully reconciled Income and Expenditure account along with the most recent bank statements, at least three weeks prior to the annual AGM.

8.6 The SPA treasurer will provide consolidated financial statements at least one week prior to each AGM, where they will be verified and passed as accurate.

You have got be kidding with this extract? Who wrote this crap?

There should be no sub divisions of the SPA holding money. Surely budgets are agreed then allocated. or if money is raised its ring fenced as their in the central account?

No requirement for an accountant? There is over 100,000 going through the 2017 books. As a matter of good practice and to provide assurances for the members who pay this money in we should have accounts signed and verified by an independant accountant. Pool has a long way to go yet if it wants to be taken seriously as a sport if this is the way we want to continue.

Sub divisions are mentioned in the constitution, where in the accounts is the breakdown of their funds included? Are they included?
