Right thats all the teams entered their players names and I intend to do a Calcutta on Wednesday the 17th at 7.30.

This will not take long as only 8 teams, the winning bidder will get 60% with the runner up getting 30% the remaining 10% will help to pay for the Streaming getting done by Premier Streaming company.

So I'm asking all teams to look in next week and put a bid in.

The 500 entry fee should be brought as cash at the event and The Players lounge will be adding 1000 to the entry fees , thus giving 5000 as prize fund.

3.5 to the winners and 1.5 to the runners up along with the winners getting to keep the EB trophy for a year.

It's a great day of pool with the very top players from all over Scotland attending, to find out who is the best Regional area of pool for 2019.

Next year it will be held on a Saturday instead of a Sunday.

If you are thinking about disallowing top players from the 11s why not make it the players who play in this and take this event to pettycur. What a great weekend of long races and great pool you could have making a weekend event out of this instead of a one day.

Two things JB, not enough players to take enough caravans at PB for this event.

As for stopping some players from entering the Super 11s, well only the very top as the SPA did in previous years gone past.

No pros etc which meant that the Counties were different for the 11s and 15s.

Start a new bottom division for 8 or 12 teams or something and run them the same weekend. Great opportunity for these guys to see the top lads play team pool. Great learning experience too. Gives this event a better identity than a day in a club, fills the vans, solves many of the problems with qualifiers/relegation.

Job done.

. Yip it was wrong then and would be wrong again , it was pros and all Men's A international players that were not allowed in the 11s .

I am so very sorry but the Lanarkshire team picked by myself will no longer be attending this event.

I would like to thank Ross for the opportunity in picking the side but the number of call-offs from the outset and even the fact that we still were 3 players short of a team with this event just over two weeks away, left the players in the side and myself with too much uncertainty about even being able to put a side together for the tournament.

Players were hesitant to part with money etc etc

So again, I will say I am sorry for pulling the Lanarkshire side out the event. I hope the event is a great day and I wish the teams competing all the best.

Thanks in advance,

Fred Williams
