Just to let ALL the players who have not paid because they could not make the event this weekend.

We are still paying out the total prize fund based on the entries of the event, to do this we are using the sponsorship money from the venue that would pay the TD and Ref at the event, they will wait until the players who could not make the event, pay their entry fee of £10 and I thank both Davy and Renzie for doing this.

So I'm asking these players to pay now, not wait until whenever but now, give it to your rep or whoever to pass on to the SPA, thank you.

Well I went over and saw the end of Renzieís match against Billy Stirling in the quarter finals , coming out a clear winner but then he really turned on the form against Colin Downie in the semis winning 9/2.

On the other half the semi final was played by two pool legends in Pat Holtz and Billy Snaddon, Billyís break let him down again but even if it had been better I doubt he would have beaten Pat on this form, Pat went on to win 9/2 and went into the final.

With both these two legends of Scottish pool playing at such a high level , it was always going to be a toss of a coin who would go on and collect the title of Scottish pool Master for 2019 but as it turned out Renzie took total control and deserved to win 10/6.

When Renzie is in this form he is a joy to watch, his potting along with his tactical play is second to none and you could see the confidence flowing out of him.

Masters pool in Scotland is at an all time high and this can only help our international set up and if these players decide to play for Scotland at the world championship in Australia then there will only be one winner, thatís a guarantee.

My thanks to Steven Santa Allison who once again supports SPA pool with one of the very best pool halls in the uk never mind Scotland, his tables are always great and fantastically looked after, to Renzie who also took on the refs job until later on the event and of course to David Duncan who looks after all our events and makes sure the results are out straight into the app for all to see right away.

89 entries but a lot of call offs on the day, we paid out all the entry fees even though they were not paid on the day and both officials went without payment , this will be fixed when the outstanding payments come in this week, if you entered the event and have not yet paid make sure itís done this week otherwise you will not be able to play in SPA events until itís done.

Lastly well done to Alan Reynolds Scottish Master Champion 2019

would it not be easier for the SPA to give davie duncan a small float £150- £250 to be able to cover the no shows until the players involved get their monies paid just seems a really easy remedy to a continuous problemSmile
