  Drugs policy

I am more than aware that drug taking is or has become virulent..
Surely our exec our league committees are responsible to stop this.
I had the unfortunate situation of playing a normal league match where 4 players from am opposing team were in the toilets ( not cubicles ) and sharing a bag of white powder ( not sherbet lemon ) quite openly.
I am not a prude I am not opposed to anyone having a great night, but is this sort of behaviour to be tolerated, if we as an association wishing to be recognised in a serious manner.
Drug testing is in place for our main tournaments i.e.: supers Etc
Surely this should also apply to league pool.
I will be more than interested to hear general members thought on this.

They do what they can. However, its not enough. Much like society, its a major issue

as GerryB says the SPA do what they can, with testing at major events etc but unfortunately they cant test everyone, with regards to your issue this would be something for the local league to address.

Never going to happen at local league level unless
1. The SPA make it mandatory, and
2. The SPA finance it

Why would it be the SPA responsibility to stop this, it is local league pool, the SPA do it for one reason only, to keep the venue happy. It is a complete waste of money, it is not even a performance enhancer for a start. Let people do what they want, they might even give you a line next time.
